| The Area |
| The Villa is just 5 mins
from the motorway and 30 mins from Malaga airport, but is situated
in an area that is delightfully quiet. The neighbourhood is friendly
with a mix of many nationalities and is great fun. |
| We have 3 supermarkets
within minutes of the villa, Mercadona, Lidl and Carrefour. |
 |
If you go up from the villa you will find Benalmadena Pueblo,
an old, typical Andalucian village with steep, narrow streets
and white-painted houses that retain a wealth of culture.
The village has more than its share of attractions including
museums, a castle, sports centre and a wide and varied selection
of shops, bars and restaurants. |
 |
You will find there is an old bull ring there and many fiestas
and ferias are held including the festival of flowers when
flowers are laid on the streets before the church service
and the community parade through the streets over the flowers |

If you go down 5 minutes drive from the villa you will find
the bronze ball roundabout which is reached before you come
to Tivoli World, a great amusement park with rides for all
ages of children. |
For the adults there is the Tivoli World theatre which provides
a wide choice of music, international events, ballet, children's
shows and comedy and can seat 3000 people.
In the Andalucia Square you can sit in the warmth of a summers
evening and watch several different shows each night including
a marvellous flamenco. The shows are free and there is a very
good Andalucian bar and restaurant.

Adjacent to the Tivoli World Amusement park is the Benalmedena
Aerial Cable car which climbs its gentle ascent 2600 metres
from Benalmadena up to Mount Calamorro, at the top there's
an exhibition on birds of prey - eagles, falcons, owls and
vultures, plus there's a Spanish dressage riding exhibition
and numerous walking and mountain bike trails for exploring
the site in-depth. |

has a wide range of attractions including a sports complex, bilingual
library, a good choice of shops including 3 English produce sellers.

has its own casino, night club where they have several international
shows including a magic show and wonderful golf course.

There is a garden of over 200,000 square metres, overlooking
the sea. La Paloma Park has a large lake, stocked with various
water birds and is beautiful to walk round, have a coffee
at their café, or just take a book and read. |
|
Next to
the park is the feria ground where the flea market is held and
Selwo Marina in close proximity. It covers a large site with various
well-presented shows and exhibition areas featuring dolphins,
sea lions, penguins, crocodiles, snakes and exotic birds and offers
an excellent day-out for all the family.
|
 |
15 minutes from the villa by car you can pass the Windmill
roundabout to arrive on Benalmadena's paseo maritimo which
is lined with small shops and bars and fronts a long, wide
beach that is kept clean and has lifeguard service.
Here is also the Castle Bil-Bil which has a really interesting
history and now holds cultural events including concert
recitals and art exhibitions.
